• Analyze SQL query performance in Java and COBOL applications • Write and propose improvements to SQL queries with an emphasis on performance • Proactively monitor application performance in development environments • Recommend changes to data modeling aimed at improving performance • Perform data loads between environments using administrative tools
🎯 Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in any Information Technology (IT) field • Knowledge of how the systems they support operate • Principles and practices of agile software development, including the Agile Manifesto, Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP), and Kanban • Strong experience in relational database modeling, with a focus on performance • Strong experience with DB2 for z/OS, SQL Server, Oracle, and CA IDMS databases • Programming knowledge, with emphasis on COBOL and Java • Experience using database tools for DB2 for z/OS, Oracle, SQL Server, and CA IDMS • Knowledge of table partitioning techniques • Experience in projects involving high-volume data processing • Knowledge of DDL and DML for DB2 for z/OS, SQL Server, and Oracle
