📋 Description

• Support the General Manager with the day-to-day running of the pub • Take ownership of shifts and lead the team in the General Manager’s absence • Lead, coach and develop the team • Deliver consistently high standards across service, food, drinks and customer experience • Build strong customer relationships and create a welcoming atmosphere • Help drive sales and identify opportunities to grow the business • Maximise the riverside garden, food offer and seasonal trading periods • Prepare the pub for busy services and different customer occasions • Work with the kitchen team to ensure effective communication and smooth service • Support rotas, stock, cash management and other operational responsibilities • Champion health and safety, licensing and brand standards • Help create a positive, supportive and motivated team culture • Bring fresh ideas to develop the pub and its customer base • Lead by example and be someone the team can rely on

🎯 Requirements

• Previous experience as an Assistant Manager, Supervisor, Team Leader or similar • Experience working in a busy pub, restaurant, bar or hospitality environment • Confidence leading a team and taking ownership of a shift • Strong communication skills and ability to motivate and develop people • Genuine pride in delivering excellent customer service • Commercial awareness and understanding of how hospitality drives sales and repeat business • Ability to stay calm, organised and hands-on during busy periods • Pride in maintaining high standards across the pub • Proactive, energetic approach and willingness to get stuck in • Genuine passion for food, drinks and hospitality • Enjoys building relationships with customers and becoming part of the local community • Wants to develop skills and progress a hospitality career with Greene King
