• Provide risk support across a defined group of pubs in the South East, focusing on health and safety, fire safety, food safety and wider operational risk • Support pubs and operational teams with clear, sensible risk advice • Help sites understand standards and identify improvements • Investigate serious incidents, accidents and claims • Produce clear reports explaining what happened, why it happened and required next steps • Support poor audit outcomes and help sites return to the right standard • Identify repeat issues and underlying causes with operations • Present risk themes and learning at area or operational meetings • Support legal, insurance or regulatory processes where needed • Help the wider Risk team improve consistency across the business • Build relationships while supporting, challenging and advising operational teams • Apply legislation, standards and company expectations as practical advice for busy pubs
🎯 Requirements
• Experience in risk, safety, compliance or a similar operational support role • Hospitality experience is advantageous; experience in another multi-site, customer-facing environment is relevant • Comfortable visiting sites and dealing with real-world issues • Ability to investigate incidents and write clear reports • Understanding of health and safety, food safety or fire safety principles • Ability to manage several pieces of work without losing track • Confidence having honest conversations and challenging others respectfully • Ability to stay calm when situations are urgent or sensitive • Problem-solving approach • NEBOSH qualification or equivalent experience would be helpful, but is not required • Practical, organised, curious and approachable • Able to work independently while being part of a wider team
