📋 Description

• GridUnity is a SaaS company transforming the nation’s energy grid with ML, configurable processes, and cloud computing to accelerate interconnection and grid development. • Collaborate with cross-functional engineers and product managers to implement and support high-scale data ingestion and enable customer insights. • Own complex features end-to-end from product/technical design through production, ensuring scalability, reliability, and observability. • Be a steward of data ownership, ensuring security and privacy of user data. • Maintain high technical standards via code reviews and design discussions. • Support collaborative culture by contributing RFCs, solution ideation, and providing peer feedback. • Work remotely within a remote-first engineering team focused on energy sector impact.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience. • 3+ years of experience building full-stack applications. • Professional experience with several of the following technologies: Backend: Node.js, TypeScript, Java, Python, or C#; Frontend: React or a similar modern JavaScript framework; Databases: PostgreSQL or another relational database. • Experience designing, building, and maintaining production systems. • Experience with serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda, API Gateway) (preferred). • Production experience with GraphQL (queries, mutations, schema design) (preferred). • Familiarity with event-driven and microservice architectures (preferred). • Exposure to multi-tenant systems and role-based access control (preferred). • Track record of contributing to architecture and system design (preferred). • Comfortable in high-context, async-first engineering teams (preferred). • Daily user of AI-enhanced engineering tools (e.g., Cursor, Windsurf, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT) (preferred). • Interest or experience in integrating LLMs into production systems (prompt engineering, embeddings, structured outputs, or agent-style workflows) (preferred). • Data-first mindset and strong collaborative, feedback-oriented approach.
