📋 Description

• Produce published insights and research on AI for the finance function • Meet with finance leaders (CFOs, FP&A leaders, Controllers, Finance Transformation leaders) to advise on AI-related questions and challenges • Create unique, defensible and highly consumable business and technology insights addressing finance AI priorities • Serve as a leading authority on finance AI topics including use case selection, pilots-to-scale, governance, vendor landscape, and AI economics • Stay abreast of external research and AI trends relevant to finance • Provide actionable advice to clients via virtual and face-to-face interactions • Support business growth by partnering with Gartner’s commercial organization • Act as an internal advisor on how AI technologies impact the finance function • Create and deliver presentations for Gartner events, conferences, and client briefings • Build personal brand as a Finance AI expert to drive Gartner’s insights and methodology

🎯 Requirements

• 12+ years’ experience working on relevant finance function and technology topics • 3+ years of AI for finance experience • Career exposure to major finance processes and workflows, data sources and technologies (forecasting, planning, budgeting, record to report, transactional finance such as accounts payable/accounts receivable) • Experience with deployment of AI functionality in embedded tools and development of homegrown/company-specific AI solutions • Exposure to data science, quantitative analytics, statistics, probabilistic decision-making and coding languages (preferably Python) • Backgrounds in math, statistics and physics a plus • Polished communicator able to establish credibility with senior executives • Collaborative and comfortable connecting with global colleagues and clients • Organized, able to multitask and prioritize under deadlines • Confident, able to make sound decisions with minimal supervision in a remote environment • Moderate willingness to travel
