📋 Description

• Conduct comprehensive conflicts reviews related to mergers, lateral hires, and new business intake, following client-defined protocols and using their designated toolset. • Analyze search results, identifying potential conflicts and escalating issues as needed. • Liaise with client conflicts teams and decision makers regarding project set up and management. • Providing training on conflicts to more junior team members and supervise their work and development. • Perform supplementary corporate research using tools such as Hoover’s, S&P Capital IQ, and public databases to support client conflicts teams’ decision making. • Contribute to process improvement efforts. • Perform high quality in-depth legal, corporate and other research to support the client’s librarians, attorneys, paralegals and staff using a variety of resources. • Monitor and respond to research requests and coordinate this effort with research team members across all locations. • Prioritize and respond to requests, analyze and synthesize results, compile answers and communicate research findings in a clear and concise manner.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree is required. • Master’s degree in Librarianship or Information Science from an ALA-accredited institution or JD from an ABA-accredited institution is preferred. • Knowledge of standard research resources including, but not limited to, Westlaw, LexisNexis, Bloomberg Law, Standard & Poor’s Capital IQ and Hoover’s. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and research skills. Excellent attention to detail and ethical judgment. • Proficient in research with the ability to analyze corporate structures and regulatory frameworks. • Excellent communication skills, to effectively deliver and explain research findings to attorneys both verbally and through written summaries and analysis. • Excellent organizational and time management skills, thriving in fast-paced environments with minimal supervision. • Responsiveness and demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize competing deadlines. • Self-motivated with the ability to work well independently and to collaborate with client’s team and other contract researchers to effectively prioritize and execute tasks. • Experience of working with Intapp Conflicts is highly desirable.
