📋 Description

• Join Hitachi Energy’s Grid Integration Service Solutions team and play a vital role in supporting advanced power systems across Canada. • Serve as the first point of contact and subject matter expert for maintenance and repair of FACTS & HVDC stations/systems. • Provide customer support via phone and on-site deployments. • Own customer issues and collaborate with warranty project managers to resolve them efficiently. • Offer technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced personnel, including leading customer training sessions. • Ensure compliance with health and safety protocols during all work activities. • Support sales efforts during site visits by promoting Hitachi Energy and identifying potential business leads.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Power Systems preferred). • Member of a Professional Engineering association in Canada (or eligible). • Minimum 5 years of experience in substations and industrial electrification projects. • Strong knowledge of electrical safety, regulations, and compliance. • Hands-on experience with substation equipment, protection relays, HV breakers, transformers, and electrical apparatus. • Experience with computer-based control systems. • Ability to perform under pressure in time-critical scenarios. • Familiarity with Power Electronics, SVC, SC, or HVDC technologies is a plus. • Knowledge of electrical standards (ANSI, CSA, IEC, etc.). • Strong communication, leadership, initiative, and analytical skills. • Ability to lead subcontractors and customer resources when needed. • Organized, flexible, autonomous, and precise. • Proficient with relevant computer tools. • Willingness to travel extensively.
