• Inspire and motivate students through purposeful Biology subject knowledge • Deliver engaging and interactive online Biology lessons to international students • Promote students' academic progress and general wellbeing • Provide guidance and advice on educational and wellbeing matters • Contribute to student assessments, reports and references in a timely manner • Participate in staff meetings and continuing professional development opportunities • Communicate with parents and stakeholders to support students and achieve the best possible outcomes • Support school self-evaluation and improvement priorities • Help maintain and develop a high-quality school environment and profile • Undertake other work specified by the line manager
• Must be based in and fully authorised to work in the UK • Ability to teach Biology up to Year 13 • Excellent written and communication skills • Knowledge of correct safeguarding procedures • Ability to work well in teams • Ability to work effectively in dynamic and changing environments • Experience working in the primary, secondary or college sector • Experience working in the state or independent school sector • Experience creating resources and reviewing and enhancing course delivery • Computer literacy and ability to teach online using technology applications • Knowledge of effective ways to engage students in Biology • Capability to drive best practices and deliver high-quality material • Interest in online teaching and learning, with passion for student learning and development • Flexible, highly energetic approach and ability to thrive in a fast-changing, collaborative, delivery culture • Safer recruitment practices and pre-employment background checks required before appointment
