📋 Description

• Set and own the vision for recommendations and personalization on Caper • Drive engagement as a primary pillar metric by growing customer interactions, building monetizable surfaces, and diversifying content for savings, discovery, and health-focused shoppers • Own recommendation and item-ranking systems, using machine learning, LLM-based techniques, and real-time signals • Drive AI-first innovation and ship new personalized content types and real-time in-session signal capabilities • Partner with Design to create intuitive personalization interactions on the cart screen • Observe shopper behavior in labs and partner stores, test features, and iterate based on findings • Run an experiment-driven roadmap and lead recommendations and personalization across the organization • Align senior stakeholders on strategy, tradeoffs, and progress • Partner with Engineering, Data Science, Design, Ads, and Operations from discovery through launch • Create clear PRDs and measurable success criteria • Report to the Group Product Manager for Caper Customer Value

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of product management experience or equivalent practical experience • Experience partnering with ML or data science teams to ship models into a production consumer product • Experience defining and driving engagement or relevance metrics and using experimentation to move them • Ability to leverage data and quantitative analysis to make sound decisions in ambiguous environments • Track record of close partnership with UX design teams and applying design thinking throughout product development • Strong communication and influencing skills • Experience presenting to large groups and aligning senior stakeholders on strategy and tradeoffs • Preferred: experience building recommendation, personalization, ranking, or search products • Preferred: experience with consumer-facing hardware, IoT, or physical retail products • Preferred: familiarity with retail, grocery, ads, or marketplace recommendation systems
