📋 Description

• Act as a subject matter expert in qualitative research, advising on study design, methodology, and interpretation of patient experience data • Translate findings into evidence informing COA strategy, endpoint development, and clinical and commercial decision-making • Lead the design, execution, and delivery of qualitative research, including burden of disease, content validity of PROs and other COAs, and COA development or modification • Identify, evaluate, and apply innovative and AI-enabled qualitative methods • Review and test emerging qualitative research and analysis methods • Provide scientific input into analysis plans, interpretation, reports, and client-facing deliverables • Advise clients on research design, patient-centred endpoints, and evidence needs • Own project quality, delivery, client satisfaction, scope, timelines, and objectives • Lead or oversee multiple qualitative consulting projects on time, within scope, and to budget • Serve as a senior client contact and build long-term relationships • Anticipate and resolve project risks and support proposal development • Identify follow-on work and contribute to methodological innovation and service expansion • Contribute to thought leadership, best practices, guidance, abstracts, presentations, and publications • Support business development and mentor others in client and proposal engagement • Develop and implement qualitative research standards, templates, SOPs, and training materials • Oversee qualification and development of qualitative researchers, including interview moderator assessment • Provide scientific review and guidance on qualitative data collection, analysis, and reporting • Mentor, coach, line manage, and support the career progression of staff • Contribute to global qualitative community initiatives, recruitment, onboarding, and knowledge sharing • Foster an inclusive, collaborative, high-performing team culture across geographies

🎯 Requirements

• PhD in a relevant discipline (e.g. psychology, anthropology, sociology, public health, health sciences) or a Master’s degree with substantial consulting or additional experience • 5-8 years professional experience in consulting within the pharmaceutical industry • Expertise in designing, conducting, and analyzing qualitative research in healthcare settings • Familiarity with Patient-Focused Drug Development guidance published by the US FDA • Experience generating or communicating robust clinical data suitable for regulatory submission, payer use, or publication • Exposure to development and validation of clinical outcome assessments (COAs) • Experience using qualitative data analysis software such as ATLAS.ti, MAXQDA, or NVivo • Experience in consulting or a CRO environment managing multiple complex projects and senior client stakeholders • Strong understanding of qualitative methods, analytical approaches, and reporting standards for regulatory, payer, or publication contexts • Demonstrable analytical, interpretative, and problem-solving skills • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines while maintaining quality • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including client presentations, workshops, and scientific writing • Ability to collaborate across organizational levels and build relationships while working remotely • Right to live and work in the recruiting country • Fluency in English, spoken and written
