📋 Description

• Design and evaluate experiments across paid and organic channels to generate evidence on what drives conversions • Build statistical and predictive models and develop statistical attribution and predictive lead scoring models • Turn complex data into clear insights and frameworks for Paid Search and Paid Social to enable smarter bidding and performance • Own projects end to end, from framing questions to delivering outcomes, working closely with stakeholders • Embed and collaborate with engineers, product managers, designers, and data scientists within a cross-functional Acquisition Tech team • Deliver models and insights that directly influence how iwoca invests in sales and marketing and impacts customer acquisition

🎯 Requirements

• Expertise in probability and statistics, gained through a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Statistics or similar • Ability to understand business context and translate data into actionable insights that guide decisions • Proficiency with data manipulation and modelling tools such as pandas, statsmodels or R • Experience with scientific computing tools such as NumPy, SciPy, R, Matlab, Mathematica or BLAS • Ability to work autonomously and manage projects end to end, from framing the question to delivering outcomes • Ability to communicate clearly in writing and speech, adapting technical detail to suit different audiences • Understanding of Bayesian statistics, including experience or interest in applying hierarchical Bayesian models (bonus) • Experience building machine learning models from scratch, including creating custom optimisers (bonus) • Knowledge of stochastic processes and related mathematical techniques (bonus) • Experience working with Python, our primary programming language (bonus) • Understanding of financial concepts such as deterministic cash flows (bonus) • Right to work in the UK (application requests VISA status)
