📋 Description

• Design, fabricate, and integrate electrical systems for data center power and cooling products and factory enablement projects • Develop full-stack electrical designs from generator systems to AI rack integration zones • Manage and oversee electrical systems for data centers, energy storage systems, and HVAC applications • Develop specifications, select components, route wires and cables, establish connections, and transition designs to manufacturing • Lead test process implementation and ensure equipment alignment for operational excellence and reliability • Conduct PLD design, component selection, wire/cable sizing and routing, and connections • Review vendor drawings and prepare BOMs, calculations, data sheets, drawings, specifications, and test plans • Evaluate electrical system operations and recommend modifications to correct malfunctions or accommodate requirements • Collaborate on electrical power distribution equipment design and development • Lead electrical engineering design reviews • Prepare and review short circuit coordination studies and maintain software models • Review control panel designs and UL standards • Evaluate requirements and close gaps between concept and manufacturing readiness • Interface with mission-critical design, server hardware, EHS, and controls engineering teams • Work with system architects on product specifications and electrical architecture • Collaborate with project managers on design quotations and identify project risks • Monitor product delivery for quality and schedule adherence • Test, debug, and validate electrical systems and support manufacturing • Manage relationships with electrical component vendors and contract manufacturers • Propose R&D project ideas and assess engineering feasibility and cost-effectiveness

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline • 8+ years of experience in electrical design and fabrication, with a focus on data center or industrial power systems • Proficiency in ECAD tools (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical) and integration with mechanical CAD platforms • Strong understanding of MV/HV power distribution, lithium-ion UPS systems, and three-phase electrical infrastructure • Experience with electrical analysis tools (ETAP, SKM PowerTools, EasyPower) • Proven experience in facility-level electrical design and construction support • Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills • Expertise in wiring and cable management systems • Ability to perform PLD design, component selection, wire and cable sizing and routing, and connections • Ability to perform vendor drawing reviews and prepare BOMs, calculations, data sheets, detailed drawings, specifications, and test plans • Strong understanding of single lines and schematic diagrams • Experience with power distribution products and equipment and translating designs to manufacturing drawings • Experience preparing/reviewing short circuit coordination studies and maintaining software models • Knowledge of UL standards for control panel design and construction • Familiarity with stage-gate processes in project lifecycle management • Preferred: Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering • Preferred: Active Professional Engineer (PE) license • Preferred: Experience with data center infrastructure, global compliance standards, panel fabrication, thermal/mechanical constraints, global suppliers, contract manufacturers, WindChill, and DevOps
