📋 Description

• Keeping our web applications and services running smoothly, spotting and fixing bottlenecks before they become problems. • Optimizing performance and cost across our systems, using the latest tools and approaches rather than settling for "good enough." • Scaling our infrastructure to comfortably support a steadily growing, worldwide user base. • Refining our deployment and release processes so shipping code feels fast, safe, and boring (in the best way). • Helping product teams set up and improve CI/CD pipelines in GitLab, so they can move at their own pace. • Partnering closely with development teams - you're not working in a silo, you're working with people. • Collaborating daily with an international crew of engineers who bring different perspectives and time zones to the table. • In your first 3 months, becoming a go-to person for infrastructure support and taking ownership of key maintenance tasks. • By month 6, being fully ramped up and ready to join the on-call rotation.

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience operating large-scale, distributed systems in production. • Expert-level Linux administration skills, including storage and networking. • Hands-on experience with AWS, and comfort working with classic data center environments too. • Proven ability deploying and managing applications with Kubernetes and Docker. • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code practices. • Solid, practical knowledge of continuous integration and continuous delivery. • Experience delivering infrastructure services across multiple countries. • A high bar for quality, strong sense of ownership, and genuine team spirit.
