📋 Description

• Lead teams to design, automate, build, manage and optimise modern digital service platforms • Design, build, test, deploy, operate and continuously improve underlying platform services • Work with engineering, testing, consulting, product management and security colleagues • Employ appropriate latest technologies aligned with industry best practices • Share technical knowledge through internal communities of practice and wider industry • Foster a DevOps culture and act as a role model embodying Kainos values • Provide technical leadership and direction on delivery and support projects • Interact with customers and share knowledge • Manage, coach and develop a small number of staff • Manage employee performance and assist with career development • Solve challenging problems across delivery and support projects

🎯 Requirements

• Strong verbal and written communication skills • Ability to communicate technical design clearly in conversation, documentation and presentations to technical and non-technical audiences • Proven experience of team leadership • Experience supporting a DevOps culture in delivering and/or supporting complex projects • SC Clearance required • Significant expertise designing, building, testing, automating, monitoring and/or operating modern digital service platforms in production environments • Experience using Continuous Delivery and automation techniques to release operationally ready software to production • Experience with platform orchestration using multiple configuration management tools • Demonstrable experience building and/or supporting modern digital service platforms, including architecture, design, estimation, planning and MVP iteration using a modern agile approach • Experience championing Site Reliability Engineering tooling, techniques and processes • Experience using AWS, including SaaS or PaaS offerings, to solve business problems • AWS public cloud certification desirable • Certification in a specialisation such as Kubernetes CKAD desirable
