📋 Description

• Provide test leadership and direction within a multi-skilled agile public-sector team • Define the strategy, design and development of automated, manual and non-functional tests • Ensure delivery of working application software that meets user needs and quality standards for promotion to users • Make sound, reasoned decisions in a fast-paced environment • Learn and apply new technologies and approaches • Manage, coach and develop a small number of staff • Manage employee performance and assist with career development • Provide direction and leadership while solving challenging problems • Interact with customers, share knowledge and mentor colleagues

🎯 Requirements

• Experience ensuring testing layers have adequate coverage in line with software testing principles and practices • Expertise designing, creating and maintaining test scripts and test approaches • Experience with manual and automated testing across all application layers, including non-functional test coverage • Experience using open-source test automation technologies such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, Cucumber or Cypress • Experience configuring testing tools such as Jenkins and/or TeamCity within a continuous integration environment • Practical knowledge of at least one object-oriented programming language, such as Java • High level of technical awareness and sound understanding of software architectures • Experience managing others, setting objectives, giving feedback and leading performance reviews • Passion for expanding knowledge of current QA tools, technologies and methodologies • Desirable: experience in a Test Lead or similar role on a medium-large Agile project • Desirable: demonstrable stakeholder management and commercial awareness • Desirable: experience within defence, health or public sectors
