β’ Manage and support the Licensing Applications team β’ Lead daily and weekly stand-ups to track progress, share updates, and unblock issues β’ Train new and existing team members on application processes, council-specific requirements, and best practice β’ Escalate complex or high-risk cases and coach the team through resolution β’ Complete online property licence application forms for selective, additional, and HMO licences β’ Upload and organise documentation in Airtable, HubSpot, or Google Drive β’ Track application progress and submit completed applications to relevant council portals β’ Perform quality assurance of application submissions β’ Build and maintain knowledge of application requirements, forms, and processes across UK local authorities β’ Keep the team knowledge base and internal guidance up to date β’ Partner with the Licensing Product Manager to streamline the application process β’ Identify automation and workflow improvement opportunities β’ Feed operational insights into product and process improvements β’ Design and run an audit process to ensure application accuracy and compliance β’ Review application samples, provide feedback, and identify trends β’ Maintain and improve quality-control checklists, KPIs, and team standards β’ Build relationships with letting agents and landlords and handle complex or sensitive queries β’ Liaise with council officers on escalated or unusual cases β’ Maintain accurate application logs β’ Report team performance, application volumes, and audit outcomes to senior stakeholders
β’ Proven experience managing or leading a team, ideally within operations, compliance, or a similar administrative function β’ Exceptional attention to detail and a rigorous approach to accuracy and quality control β’ Strong working knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn, property licensing and local authority application processes β’ Excellent relationship-building skills, with confidence engaging directly with letting agents, landlords, and council officers β’ Experience designing or improving processes and workflows β’ Strong written and verbal communication skills β’ Comfortable working independently and managing multiple priorities across a team β’ Experience within property licensing, lettings, property management, or housing compliance is desirable β’ Experience working with UK local authorities, particularly web portals and public-facing interfaces, is desirable β’ Familiarity with Google Workspace is desirable β’ Experience running audits or quality assurance processes is desirable β’ Experience partnering with product teams to shape process or tooling improvements is desirable
