📋 Description

• Support the supervisor with identifying patients who qualify for pre-registration, including all new and returning patients • Serve as a resource and provide training to staff in collaboration with the supervisor • Assist staff in obtaining proper identification and ensuring accurate demographic and insurance information • Enter patient information into the registration system • Assist staff daily with RTE technology in EPIC-related issues • Assist with new-hire orientation and continued training for pre-registration/pre-certification specialists • Serve as subject matter expert in pre-certification and pre-registration • Advise specialists on escalations and problem solutions • Escalate RTE technology issues in EPIC through Experian via HITs tickets • Add and identify complex coverage issues • Work Work Queues when staff are on PTO or absent, as needed • Assist the supervisor with the Daily Call Log • Assign accounts when the Pre-Registration Supervisor is out • Maintain the real-time authorization database • Work on the Virtual Registration Admin Work Queue

🎯 Requirements

• High School Graduate or GED • 3 or more years of experience admitting/patient registration, pre-registration & pre-certification, or patient accounting experience • 2 or more years of customer service experience • Must be able to perform the professional, clinical and/or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department • Preferred: 4 or more years of experience working in Epic
