Karntek are a specialist fire safety consultancy, experts in passive fire safety. Our knowledge and competency is centred around Fire Compartmentation Surveys, Fire Door Inspections, Flat Entrance Door Inspections, Type 4 Fire Risk Assessments and Fire Strategy.

📋 Description

• Producing and reviewing fire strategies for a wide range of building types and occupancies. • Conducting and documenting comprehensive fire risk assessments in accordance with relevant legislation and guidance under the BAFE SP205 scheme. • Supporting the development and review of Building Safety Cases and associated documentation. • Liaising with fire risk assessors to resolve validation issues and provide technical guidance relating to the BAFE SP205 scheme. • Providing expert fire engineering and fire safety advice to clients, project teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders. • Keeping up to date with UK fire safety legislation, British Standards, Approved Documents, and industry best practice. • Working collaboratively with architects, design teams, contractors, and building managers to develop practical, compliant, and cost-effective fire safety solutions. • Participating in internal training, mentoring, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to support continuous improvement across the business.

🎯 Requirements

• A Fire Engineering degree or a relevant qualification in Fire Engineering or a related discipline. • Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, Approved Document B, British Standards, and associated guidance. • Experience producing fire strategies and undertaking fire engineering assessments. • Experience carrying out fire risk assessments under the BAFE SP205 scheme is desirable. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. • A commitment to Continuing Professional Development (CPD). • A willingness to travel to client sites across the UK, including occasional overnight stays where required.
