📋 Description

• Assist the market operations team in optimizing battery energy storage system dispatch across the Key Capture Energy fleet • Strategize day-to-day power market operations • Monitor real-time market conditions, asset availability, and strategy performance • Troubleshoot market operations in real time • Build and edit mathematical models representing battery energy storage and hybrid solar plus storage system operation • Build reports summarizing trading strategy performance • Support management of company assets, including bid submission and code debugging • Analyze electricity price factors and improve price forecasts for bidding models • Develop and assess models to improve PNL • Design, support, and contribute to automated power market bidding and trading strategies using Python and SQL • Analyze and manipulate datasets in MS SQL Server • Collaborate with the development team on analytics infrastructure • Build PowerBI dashboards to inform market decisions • Build analytical reports and models supporting energy trading • Perform other duties as required

🎯 Requirements

• 0-2 years of energy industry or analytical experience • Bachelor's degree in engineering, math, economics, computer science, chemistry, physics, finance, business, or related field • Interest in clean energy and power markets • Exposure to programming (SQL, Python, R, MATLAB, or similar) • Experience working with large data sets a plus • Strong quantitative reasoning, problem solving, operations research methods, and programming skills • Very motivated self-starter • Strong organizational and time-management skills • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer • Legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer • Must not require sponsorship for employment in the United States
