📋 Description

• Own the distributed backend data engine end-to-end • Guarantee precision, performance, and scale for complex crypto tax data • Write high-quality code in modern TypeScript • Make sound architectural decisions and raise backend engineering standards • Ingest, normalize, and reconcile on-chain and exchange data at scale • Optimize, refactor, and elevate backend architecture • Ensure deterministic execution, high availability, and financial-grade correctness • Collaborate closely with product and engineering leads • Evaluate ideas and propose architectural solutions • Own the backend data pipeline and core data services from architecture through deployment and scaling • Build and maintain high-throughput distributed processing systems • Support cryptocurrency tax calculation and asset tracking products used by investors and accountants worldwide

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of experience focused on complex, data-heavy distributed systems • Expert-level TypeScript with strong typing skills • Deep understanding of distributed system architecture and scalable design patterns, including queues, workers, idempotency, backpressure, rate-limiting, and retries • Production-level DeFi experience with AMMs, lending, staking, LP positions, and bridges • Advanced data modeling and SQL skills • Experience tuning performance on large PostgreSQL datasets • Proven professional experience with Rust in production or professional settings • Fluency with AI development tools such as Claude, Codex, or Cursor • Deep production-level experience with TypeScript on NodeJS • Experience with RabbitMQ and Redis (ioredis) • PostgreSQL experience including schema design, query optimization, and migrations at scale • Experience with node:test for unit and integration testing • Experience with Sentry for error monitoring • Experience with blockchain libraries and node/indexer APIs • Knowledge of RPC and provider reliability patterns • Experience decoding on-chain data, including ABIs, event logs, traces, token standards, and transaction semantics • Experience with csv-parse, xlsx (SheetJS), and node-html-parser • Experience integrating with inconsistent third-party APIs and file formats • Experience with Heroku, GitHub, and JIRA • Ability to work remotely from Europe, within EU/UK time zones • Background checks required before joining
