📋 Description

• Render correct concepts and meanings according to the conventions of established interpretation protocol • Provide clear and accurate renditions with no additions or omissions • Employ good customer service and clear enunciation, pronunciation, pleasant and professional voice as well as polite forms of expression • Follow client’s instructions, manage the flow of the communication and avoid taking over the communication, as well as avoid interaction with the Limited English proficiency speaker without client's permission • Understand protocol and terminology in the healthcare industry • Maintain a professional demeanor throughout the assignment at all times • Have access to the Internet or work related electronic communication • Provide clarification and cultural brokering using excellent judgment and skill • Demonstrate commitment to cultural sensitivity and working in a diverse environment

🎯 Requirements

• Resident of the UK for 3+ years (NPPV3 vetting requirements) • Previous Interpreting experience within the Public Sector or Police settings (essential) • Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Languages, Translation, Interpretation, Philology, Linguistics or related fields (preferred) • Ph.D. or Doctoral in Languages, Philology, Linguistic or related fields (preferred) • NRPSI (National Register of Public Service Interpreters) • DPSI (Diploma of Public Service Interpreting) • DPI (Diploma Police Interpreting) • Level 6 Community Interpreting
