• Serve as an Engineer on electric transmission line design projects for high-voltage overhead and underground systems from 46kV to 345kV • Support a major electric utility • Apply NESC, ASCE, ACI, and other applicable standards in engineering and design • Work on overhead systems, voltage conversion projects, new capacity projects, and infrastructure replacement projects • Perform engineering analyses • Prepare bidding documents • Draft plans and specifications • Prepare material procurement and construction documents • Work with a multi-person Leidos team • Interface with clients, project planning, environmental, permitting, and construction management personnel • Develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals • Make regular site visits across the client’s utility service territory • Work in a client office if needed and/or travel periodically
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering • Minimum of eight (8) years of prior relevant experience in the design of electric utility transmission systems • Experience reviewing full transmission line designs, including PLS-CADD models, foundations, material, plan and profiles, and construction packages • Knowledge of NESC, ACI, AISC, and ASCE code requirements • Knowledge of construction specifications, material procurement process, project schedules, and construction work packages • Ability to develop project scopes, budgets, and proposals • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently • Proven ability to communicate with clients and project teams • PLS-CADD and POLE expertise • LPILE or FAD tools • Microsoft Office • Work authorization for U.S. positions is implied by the U.S.-specific posting context • EIT, FE, or Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred • Bentley MicroStation preferred • Bentley ProjectWise preferred • Mathcad preferred • Autodesk AutoCAD preferred • Construction Management and Support preferred
