📋 Description

• Adapt complex software interfaces and support documentation for native Malagasy users • Localize global marketing campaigns and brand voices for the Malagasy-speaking market • Localize product and e-commerce copy, including product and UI listings • Apply regional naming logic and formatting standards • Uphold quality benchmarks and brand identity • Coordinate with production and quality leads to deliver projects on schedule and within client specifications • Contribute to AI and language technology projects • Complete an application, payment setup, and onboarding after selection • Take a domain-specific test if required

🎯 Requirements

• Native-level proficiency in Malagasy • A graduate qualification in translation, linguistics, or language studies, OR a graduate qualification in another field plus 2 years of full-time professional translation experience, OR 5 years of full-time professional translation experience • Ability to follow terminology and reference materials precisely • Proven professional experience in translation and localization within marketing, UI/software, or e-commerce content • Experience with app or platform localization preferred • Reliable availability and commitment; most tasks require a minimum of 2 hours per day or 10 hours per week • CV must be submitted in English • Must be able to work as an independent 1099 contractor and be responsible for own tax obligations • Contractors cannot be engaged in regions subject to international embargoes or sanctions
