📋 Description

• Complete all accounting functions, including journal entries for accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals and other day-to-day accounting activities • Set up monthly payroll in ADP for COO review before initiation and journal monthly payroll • Work closely with HR to ensure smooth onboarding of new hires • Complete monthly cash reconciliation to the organization’s bank accounts and general ledger • Ensure monthly financial statements are accurate and complete • Lead external audit functions and 990 creation • Prepare year-end financials for review and provide auditors with accurate financial information and documentation • Collaborate with the COO to improve financial reporting, dashboards, account structures and integrations • Collaborate with HR to accurately track payroll deductions • Maintain various state and international registrations • Manage cash flow and interbank transfers between accounts with the COO • Manage credit card payments and reconciliations • Coordinate with business line leaders to submit and manage invoices on client third-party payment platforms • Provide accounting-system reporting for senior management

🎯 Requirements

• Passion for Living Future’s mission • Enthusiasm for serving a dynamic, environmental organization • Strong accounting background • Strong preference for experience with Sage Intacct and ADP payroll software • Experience with Salesforce and MS Excel • Ability to learn new software applications • Minimum 5-10 years of experience, preferably in nonprofit/fund accounting • Experience building dashboards in Sage Intacct, or other financial software or ERP systems, strongly preferred • Experience with audits and 990 preparation strongly preferred • Ability to work effectively with minimal direction within established procedures • Ability to multi-task and manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment • Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of people representing different organizations, backgrounds and experiences • Resume and cover letter required
