📋 Description

• Architect, build, and iterate a toolchain combining traditional automation and productivity tools with spec-driven design and agentic working • Test the toolchain within IT and Security • Advocate, mentor, and enable early adopter teams to use the platforms, provide feedback, and iterate the platform • Build self-sustaining cultural practices across the organisation and enable whole departments • Scale the platform for organisation-wide use • Drive the evolution of IT operations toward an all-encompassing as-code infrastructure model through hands-on architecture and design • Contribute to the IT/Security Operating System as teams move toward build-not-buy • Mentor and develop the existing IT engineering team and whole departments • Serve as a technical guide to accelerate skills transfer and foster a collaborative engineering culture • Champion and advocate for shared automation and AI platforms and methodologies • Drive cross-departmental adoption and break down operational silos

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated experience operating at Staff Engineer level, ideally in an established, successful, cloud-native hypergrowth SaaS environment • Hands-on coding background, ideally in a platform or SRE team • Hands-on builder and systems thinker • Track record of successful AI-native adoption, moving workflows from experimental prompts to robust, production-grade automated workflows or agents • Deep technical mastery of at least some of infrastructure-as-code, modern CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, and enterprise-grade workflow orchestration such as n8n or Zapier • Understanding of agentic working utilization costs and ability to design hybrid architectures balancing speed and financial efficiency • Ability to break complex problems down • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical citizen coders and executive stakeholders • Currently based in and legally authorized to work in the UK or the EU • No visa sponsorship requirement now or in the future to work in the UK or EU
