📋 Description

• Lead the team responsible for the end-to-end client journey from onboarding through renewal • Proactively identify and mitigate risk across the client portfolio • Build long-term client loyalty and secure contract renewals through strategic, data-informed partnerships • Own expansion, cross-sell, and new-site growth strategy within the existing client base • Set and deliver expansion strategies covering new sites, added populations, and additional service lines • Build processes to identify expansion signals using utilization, engagement, outcomes, and client business changes • Lead account planning and client segmentation, assigning each client a growth plan and owner • Negotiate renewals and expansions, optimizing pricing, terms, and mutual value • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Pricing to package offers, shape proposals, and close expansion deals • Forecast and report retention, expansion pipeline, and revenue growth to executive leadership • Advise client executives and stakeholders, align Marathon solutions to their goals, and report key performance indicators • Drive member utilization through marketing, patient outreach, and client partnerships • Work with field operations leaders to identify risk, increase member engagement, and secure renewals • Represent the client voice internally and bring market insight to Product and Innovation teams • Build, mentor, and scale the Client Success Manager team • Improve Client Success processes, methodologies, and tools using data and insights • Advise senior leadership on account planning, segmentation, and go-to-market strategy • Collaborate with Operations, Finance, and other teams to align client needs and organizational capabilities

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field required; MBA or advanced degree preferred • 10 years of experience in client management, account management, brokerage, consulting, or a similar client-facing role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience • 5+ years in healthcare, healthcare benefits, population health, or human resources strongly preferred • Proven record of growing large, complex client relationships, including expansion, cross-sell, and renewal results • Experience building and scaling Client Success teams, with strong coaching and performance management skills • Financial acumen, including financial analysis, strategic modeling, and pricing and performance evaluation • Strategic thinking that turns business goals into actionable client success and growth plans • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, including with C-level executives inside and outside Marathon • Skill in working across Sales, Marketing, Product, and Pricing teams • Strategic leadership, client-centered approach, results-driven mindset, collaboration, ethical conduct, and alignment with Marathon’s mission
