📋 Description

• Leading and growing an infrastructure team of 3–5 engineers focused on SRE and DevX initiatives. • Driving reliability, observability, and performance across Maze’s services and infrastructure. • Designing and evolving internal tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud infrastructure that enable product teams to move fast and safely. • Preparing infrastructure and tooling to support AI/ML workloads at scale, ensuring reliable performance and cost efficiency as AI usage grows • Supporting engineers through coaching, mentorship, and clear career development paths. • Partner with peers in engineering leadership to define technical strategy and drive initiatives that improve reliability, scalability, and developer experience. • Collaborate with stakeholders across Product and Engineering to ensure our infrastructure, tooling, and processes enable teams to deliver efficiently and confidently. • Own incident management processes, including on-call rotations, post-incident reviews, and continuous improvement of system reliability and MTTR. • Hire, mentor, and develop high-performing engineers who are excited about the intersection of infrastructure and AI • Balancing technical excellence with pragmatic delivery in a high growth, remote environment.

🎯 Requirements

• You have 7+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years leading teams focused on platform, infrastructure, or reliability. • You have a proven track record of driving platform and developer experience initiatives that improve productivity, reliability, and system scalability. • You’re comfortable working across cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar), CI/CD systems, and monitoring/observability tools. • You're familiar with modern AI technologies and infrastructure patterns, and understand how to build systems that scale with AI-driven product features • You care about the developer experience as much as the end user experience. • You bring structure and calm to complex systems and operational challenges. • You have experience leading or collaborating on incident response, reliability reviews, and capacity planning. • You’re skilled at managing remote engineers across time zones and fostering strong communication and collaboration. • You value mentorship and creating an environment of ownership, growth, and continuous learning.
