📋 Description

• Deliver thorough, evidence-based adult ADHD assessments • Make diagnostic decisions using DSM-5 diagnostic criteria, structured assessment tools, clinical judgement and NICE guidance • Review referral information, relevant records, developmental history and collateral information • Assess differential diagnoses, coexisting conditions and clinical risk • Confirm informed consent, consider capacity and assess suitability for remote consultation • Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns and urgent clinical risks • Explain diagnostic outcomes sensitively and recommend appropriate next steps • Produce accurate diagnostic reports and outcome letters within agreed timescales • Communicate with patients, GPs and other professionals as appropriate • Contribute to multidisciplinary working, clinical governance, audit, quality assurance and peer review

🎯 Requirements

• Consultant Psychiatrist with NHS experience • Registered with the GMC with a licence to practice • On the Specialist Register • Able to provide current documents in accordance with clinical competence requirements • Demonstrable training and experience in assessing and diagnosing ADHD in adults • Interest in digital health, clinical informatics and new ways of working • Exceptional verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills • Excellent time management, planning and prioritising skills • Detail-oriented and able to process detailed information effectively, consistently and accurately • Private and secure workspace with reliable internet access • Commitment to safeguarding practices • Successful completion of mandatory background checks
