📋 Description

• Consult with patients remotely following GP referrals to Medefer • Clerk patients within Gastroenterology via telephone assessment • Take detailed patient histories during clerking calls • Support Consultants in forming patient management plans • Discuss risks and benefits of surgical procedures or invasive tests recommended as possibilities by Consultants • Document patients’ agreement in principle • Work with Medefer’s Virtual Hospital and electronic health record and referral platform • Help protect vulnerable people from harm and abuse

🎯 Requirements

• Registrar with a minimum of 12 months' experience working in the NHS in Gastroenterology • Registered with the GMC with an active licence to practice • Private and secure workspace with reliable internet access • Interest in digital health, clinical informatics, and new ways of working • Exceptional verbal and written interpersonal and communication skills • Excellent time management, planning, and prioritising skills • Detail oriented, able to process detailed information effectively, consistently, and accurately • Commitment to safeguarding practices • Ability to complete necessary safeguarding training • Successful candidates must undergo mandatory background checks
