Merit Medical Oncology is a division/specialty of Merit Medical Systems focused on devices and procedural solutions for oncologic interventions. It is part of Merit Medical Systems, a global manufacturer founded in 1987 that designs and markets proprietary disposable medical devices used in interventional, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures across cardiology, radiology, oncology, critical care and endoscopy. Merit Medical Oncology supports hospitals and physicians worldwide with products (e. g. , biopsy, embolotherapy, drainage, and other oncology-related interventional tools), clinician education and training, regulatory and product documentation, and global distribution and customer support.

📋 Description

• Execute and optimize US reimbursement strategies across prioritized product and therapy areas • Provide reimbursement and health policy guidance to product development • Partner with clinical, regulatory, marketing, sales, and HEOR teams • Assess global evidence needs and support development of payer-relevant data • Analyze reimbursement landscapes and contribute to coding, coverage, and payment pathway development • Evaluate relevant data analytics for health policy initiatives • Educate internal leaders and field teams on reimbursement requirements and business impact • Build and maintain relationships with payers, government agencies, professional societies, and advocacy groups • Identify reimbursement barriers and develop market access initiatives • Support programs that improve access to therapies • Design and deliver reimbursement education for internal and external stakeholders • Represent the Reimbursement/Market Access function to supported business divisions • Synthesize geographic partners’ reimbursement needs to inform global strategic planning • Perform other duties as required

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred • Minimum of 12 years of experience in reimbursement, market access, or health policy • Strong understanding of U.S. coverage, coding, and payment systems • Demonstrated ability to support reimbursement strategy in a matrixed environment • Proficiency with standard business applications • CPC or similar credential preferred • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.; local practice may apply
