📋 Description

• Act as the role model for a cross-functional Scrum team building and scaling a SaaS platform using the Microsoft stack • Shape technical direction within an autonomous environment • Work closely with Product Managers in refinement sessions • Lead technical delivery and serve as the point of contact for the wider business for the pod • Push technical boundaries, introduce new ideas, and secure buy-in for delivery • Deliver high-quality user experiences and releases for clients • Combine hands-on technical work, technical decision-making, and people management • Solve complex design challenges while balancing simplicity, flexibility, performance, and scalability • Inspire and guide the team toward high performance • Cultivate a culture of learning and share knowledge and expertise • Lead or mentor engineers and provide developmental feedback • Act as a servant leader to help the team deliver efficiently and sustainably • Identify and remove delivery blockers and improve team workflows • Champion lean, iterative delivery • Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-trust team culture • Drive standards for code quality, test coverage, and secure development practices • Collaborate with Product Managers to estimate effort, refine work, and prioritise • Partner with Architects and other tech leads to shape scalable, maintainable solutions • Collaborate with QA, DevOps, and Security to ensure end-to-end quality • Help modernise the technical architecture and platform

🎯 Requirements

• Extensive software development experience, ideally across multiple stacks • Solid grounding in modern C#/.NET environments • Front-end development experience using frontend frameworks, ideally React • Experience crafting high-quality, well-tested solutions • Experience with unit testing, automated test coverage, and continuous integration • Participation in code reviews and architecture decision-making • Hands-on development experience • Strong understanding of security, performance, and scalability considerations • Experience building and maintaining cloud-hosted pipelines and systems, especially Azure • In-depth experience developing systems using relational databases, especially SQL Server • Experience leading or mentoring engineers toward high performance, including giving developmental feedback • Excellent understanding of agile principles and agile ways of working • Strong work ethic and pragmatic approach • Experience with Azure DevOps, ARM/Bicep, or other infrastructure-as-code tools is beneficial • Familiarity with OWASP Top Ten, security scanning tools, and compliance-conscious development is beneficial • Experience with document databases is beneficial • Exposure to modern data engineering practices or microservice-based architectures is beneficial
