📋 Description

• At Morressier, our purpose is to advance civilization by uncovering knowledge and fostering collaboration. • We want to enable all the world's learners to discover, share and advance new ideas. • We are looking for an extremely organized Finance Associate who will play a pivotal role in supporting the growth of the business. • Working directly for the Head of Finance & supported by our external advisors, you'll have a varied role, working across all areas of finance and taxation. • Responsibilities include preparation of timely and accurate monthly financial statements, assisting financial processes, supporting internal and external reporting, tracking actual spend against budget, managing invoicing and accounts receivable, and continuously improving accounting processes and policies.

🎯 Requirements

• You have 3+ years of relevant professional experience in a start-up, in-house, or external accounting firm • You have extensive knowledge in German HGB • You have ideally worked with DATEV, familiarity with other ERP software (Netsuite, Xero, Quickbooks, etc) is a plus • You have good verbal and written communication skills in German and English • You have strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and you enjoy working with data • Ownership mentality, financial savviness, creativity, and drive to get things done • You are a self-starter with a track record of independently leading new initiatives • You bring a passion for working and learning in a fast-growing, mission-focused business • Knowledge of international accounting standards, e.g. IFRS and US GAAP is a plus
