📋 Description

• You will be collaborating with various teams to build and support content management platforms using the latest technologies. • You will work in a fast-paced agile environment delivering a high-quality product with a focus on continuous innovation. • This includes activities such as: Building and maintaining WordPress Sites & conducting smooth deployments bi-weekly • Evaluating designs, wireframes and other deliverables for deployment feasibility • Implementing lean, semantic, cross-browser compatible, responsive HTML5/CSS/Javascript • Installing, testing and debugging WordPress plugins • Maintaining WordPress Core updates and adjusting functionality • Conducting cross-browser and cross-device testing to ensure consistent display on browsers and in mobile • Communicating efficiently across different teams and acting as a subject matter expert for everything website-related.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree, or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field • 5+ years of building and deploying world-class websites, with a portfolio of work • Keen eye for design and user experience • Experience creating and modifying WordPress themes & Plugins • Expert HTML & Sass/CSS skills with full understanding of web standards and responsive design techniques • Strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems • Basic understanding of SEO and accessibility best practices • Understanding of CDN, caching and website speed improvement • Basic linux skills • Attention to detail, ability to match designs and collaborate and communicate with designers • Outstanding written and verbal English language communication skills • A passion for financial inclusion and access to higher education is a must! • Comfortable working in a start-up environment, meaning a small agile team, fast-evolving roles and responsibilities, variable workload and tight deadlines, a high degree of autonomy, and 80-20 everything.
