📋 Description

• Manage a litigation caseload including probate, title curative, wrongful foreclosure, title disputes, eviction matters, and tax issues • Handle cases from referral through disposition, settlement, or verdict • Attend court hearings and perform discovery • Respond to disputes and adhere to investor guidelines • Comply with state and federal requirements and applicable regulations • Prepare and review court filings, pleadings, discovery requests, orders, correspondence, and figures for demand letters, reinstatement, and payoff quotes • Resolve title issues and complete necessary curative actions to obtain clear title • Provide legal advice to the firm’s clients • Research applicable statutes and case law • Work for a full-service default and creditors’ rights law firm serving financial institutions throughout most of the Eastern United States

🎯 Requirements

• Licensed to practice law and in good standing • Residing in Georgia • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school • Active membership in good standing with the State Bar of the states where practicing on behalf of the firm • Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing law, focused on finance, real estate, or representing financial institutions in real estate-related matters • Knowledge of state laws and civil procedure • Familiarity with rules of evidence • Proficiency in legal research, writing, and document drafting • Experience in foreclosure law, bankruptcy, litigation, and property law preferred or willingness to learn • Experience in real estate, mortgage, and/or commercial litigation strongly preferred • Knowledge of FDCPA, RESPA, TILA, and applicable state and federal debt collection and real property law is a plus • Exceptional oral and written communication skills • Ability to travel as needed • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment • Commitment to ethical standards and client confidentiality • Successful completion of a background check and pre-employment screens • Ability to provide two professional references • Confirmation of eligibility to work in the United States
