📋 Description
• Lead and unite Multiplayer’s growing technology practice • Shape how the technology team works and grows • Coach direct reports through goal-setting conversations • Build a culture where engineers and designers thrive together • Lead planning and execution across multiple concurrent engagements • Manage workstreams, priorities, scope, resourcing, dependencies, risks, and delivery timelines • Collaborate with development partners on technical direction, implementation standards, milestones, and project expectations • Stay informed on emerging technologies, engineering practices, AI capabilities, and industry trends • Establish technical direction and decision-making frameworks across projects • Lead project technical direction and make architectural decisions • Build prototypes, proof-of-concepts, and technical explorations • Partner with designers, strategists, product teams, and clients to translate design intent into technical architecture and implementation plans • Establish engineering standards, code quality expectations, and QA practices • Identify technical risks, communicate trade-offs, and recommend solutions • Contribute to continuous creative improvement, innovation, and excellence
🎯 Requirements
• 10+ years of full-time industry experience in design technology, creative development, or a closely related discipline • At least 2 years in a people manager role • Work samples accessible to Multiplayer • Minimum 3-hour overlap with Toronto EDT timezone • Deep full-stack expertise across frontend, backend, infrastructure, DevOps, deployment pipelines, and modern development platforms • Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor and Claude Code • Ability to make architectural decisions balancing scalability, maintainability, and delivery speed • Ability to establish engineering standards, code quality expectations, and QA practices • Ability to build prototypes, proof-of-concepts, hardware integrations, and physical computing explorations where applicable
