📋 Description
• Engineer infrastructure technology for public and private cloud environments • Comply with security, resilience, sustainability, and operational requirements • Use automation for testing and product routing • Work with customers to help use products appropriately • Share engineering best practices with colleagues across the bank • Contribute to and manage technology selection and maintenance • Collaborate with stakeholders to inform product roadmaps • Support engineered products and resolve production issues • Develop technical skills through continuous learning • Design intuitive, self-service infrastructure products • Contribute to the delivery of infrastructure as code solutions • Provide operational support for pattern or product related issues
🎯 Requirements
• Experience in software development or automation scripting such as Python or Shell • Understanding of software development lifecycle • Experience in utilizing modern infrastructure as code via tooling • Good understanding of Agile working practices and toolsets • Strong understanding of mainframe resource utilisation • Experience analysing RMF, SMF and other mainframe performance data • Knowledge of Workload Manager (WLM) concepts • Experience using mainframe performance and capacity tooling • Experience of using observability tools and techniques • Public cloud vendor knowledge covering GCP, AWS and Azure • Experience of working with technology deployed to an on-premise datacentre • Understanding of a DevOps mindset, collaboration, automation, and tooling
