• Posting medical charges, payments, and journal entries to patient accounts • Work directly with the insurance company, healthcare provider, and the patient • Verifying correct insurance filing information • Prepare, review, and transmit claims using billing software • Follow up on unpaid claims • Research and appeal denied claims • Meet individual and departmental standards
🎯 Requirements
• Medical Billing experience • Eligibility verification • Precertification knowledge • Familiarity with insurance guidelines (HMO/PPO, Medicare, state Medicaid) • Ability to read superbills • Knowledge of posting ERA & EOB from various systems
