📋 Description

• Lead preparation, configuration, testing, and operation of vision systems for outside broadcasts and live productions • Own camera systems, CCUs, vision mixers, routers, multiviewers, monitoring systems, and signal distribution infrastructure • Support and lead deployment of SDI and IP-based production workflows • Act as primary technical authority for vision systems during live productions • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues under operational pressure • Support fleet upgrades, technical innovation projects, and new system deployments • Mentor and develop Vision Engineers and junior engineering colleagues • Lead design, deployment, configuration, and support of broadcast network infrastructure across OB trucks, flypacks, and remote production environments • Manage SMPTE ST 2110 workflows, multicast routing, PTP timing, and network resilience • Act as technical lead for network architecture and connectivity during live productions • Support integration between broadcast systems, control platforms, and wider production infrastructure • Contribute to network strategy, standardisation, and future technology development • Maintain engineering and network documentation, operational procedures, standards, and best practice • Participate in technical planning, system design, live event delivery, and post-production review

🎯 Requirements

• Significant experience supporting complex live broadcast or live production environments • Deep technical expertise in either vision systems or broadcast networking • Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills in high-pressure operational environments • Confidence taking ownership of critical systems and making technical decisions during live events • Experience working with IP-based production technologies and modern broadcast infrastructures • Enjoy mentoring colleagues and sharing technical knowledge • Excellent communication and collaboration skills • Experience as a Vision Engineer, Network Engineer, Systems Engineer, or similar technical role within outside broadcast, live production, broadcast facilities, or media technology environments
