📋 Description

• Own all aspects of financial planning, analysis, and reporting as our first finance hire • Build and maintain financial models that guide our path to Series A and sustainable growth • Establish scalable financial processes and controls that grow with us to thousands of veterinary hospitals • Lead monthly/quarterly close processes and board reporting • Partner with leadership on strategic initiatives including pricing strategy, unit economics optimization, and investment decisions • Design and implement an enterprise-grade analytics system in collaboration with our data engineering team • Oversee the deployment of Sigma Computing for both internal dashboards and client-facing embedded analytics • Define KPIs and metrics that matter for veterinary wellness plans (compliance rates, retention, lifetime value) • Ensure our veterinary partners have real-time visibility into their wellness program performance • Build financial analytics and case studies that connect wellness outcomes to practice economics and medical compliance • Partner with our Data Engineering team to ensure our BigQuery data warehouse with Sigma Computing analytics serves both operational and financial reporting needs • Collaborate with Hospital Success to design analytics that help practices improve their wellness metrics • Work with Product to incorporate financial insights into our platform roadmap • Support Sales with ROI models and financial cases for prospective veterinary groups • Lead financial due diligence for our Series A and future funding rounds • Maintain investor reporting and communications • Build relationships with venture partners and potential strategic investors in the pet care space • Create compelling financial narratives that showcase our traction and potential

🎯 Requirements

• Builder Mindset: 5-7+ years of progressive finance experience with at least 2 years in high-growth startups • Technical Excellence: Advanced financial modeling skills and experience with modern FP&A tools • Analytics Leadership: Proven track record implementing BI/analytics platforms for internal and external stakeholders • Healthcare Experience: Understanding of SaaS metrics and ideally healthcare/veterinary economics • Strategic Thinking: Ability to balance scrappy execution with building for scale • Communicator: You can translate complex financial concepts for veterinarians, engineers, and investors alike • Systems Oriented: Experience selecting and implementing financial systems (ERP, billing, revenue recognition)
