• Manage the end-to-end permitting process for solar projects, from initial application to final approval • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external consultants, and regulatory authorities to obtain all required permits, licenses, and approvals • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local, state, and federal agencies to expedite permitting timelines • Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations, zoning laws, building codes, and other applicable requirements • Review project plans and documents to identify permitting requirements and potential issues • Track and manage permitting schedules, budgets, and milestones to meet project deadlines • Prepare and submit permit applications, including all necessary documentation and technical reports • Provide regular updates to project teams and management on permitting status, risks, and issues • Collaborate with engineering, legal, and development teams to resolve permitting-related challenges • Stay informed about changes in regulations and permitting requirements that may impact project timelines or costs
• A Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Urban Planning, or a related field is preferred • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in permitting, regulatory compliance, or environmental planning within the renewable energy industry • Proven track record of successfully managing permitting processes for large-scale solar or renewable energy projects • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations related to environmental permitting and land use • Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software • Experience with GIS software and environmental impact assessments is a plus • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time.
