📋 Description

• Create, edit, optimize and publish digital copy quickly and cleanly • Ensure timely, high-quality reporting that is accurate, fair and conforms to accepted journalism standards • Work with editors and reporters to create content • Edit copy, headlines, images, captions, graphics and video for accuracy, clarity and impact • Turn source material into original stories through additional reporting, expert comment and context • Source and prepare relevant images and video, verifying rights and credits • Use audience analytics to inform editorial decisions and improve content reach, engagement and performance • Provide feedback and guidance to reporters to improve standards • Collaborate with social, SEO and multimedia teams to optimize content • Work accurately under pressure and meet tight publishing deadlines • Perform other reasonable duties necessary to meet business needs

🎯 Requirements

• Significant relevant experience in digital editing and reporting roles • Strong news judgment across a range of subjects • Proven record of editing quickly in a fast-paced environment • Excellent writing, rewriting and copy-editing skills • Demonstrable knowledge of content management systems, SEO, audience analytics and editing assistance software • Demonstrable knowledge of common IT tools such as the Microsoft suite • WordPress experience is a plus
