• Prepare simple to moderately complex individual tax returns (Form 1040) under the review of senior staff and the CPA. • Review and organize client tax documents, including W-2s, 1099s, 1098s, brokerage statements, and organizer responses. • Communicate electronically with clients to request missing information and clarify tax-related questions. • Input and verify data in Lacerte with a high degree of accuracy. • Assist with basic bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks Desktop and/or QuickBooks Online. • Maintain client confidentiality and follow firm procedures and compliance standards.
• 1–3 years of experience preparing U.S. individual income tax returns (Form 1040 required). • Experience using Lacerte tax software (preferred). • Experience using QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Online (preferred). • Experience using Microsoft Office (specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook). • Working knowledge of fundamental tax concepts (adjustments, credits, deductions, filing statuses, etc.). • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organization. • Ability to communicate clearly with clients and team members. • Willingness to learn and take direction from senior staff.
