📋 Description

• Proactively ensure HSE compliance throughout the wind turbine installation and completion process, reporting any deviations. • Advise the client’s BOP contractor to comply with Nordex quality standards to enable a smooth handover to commissioning, customer service, and operations. • Use strong technical knowledge to provide general support for all mechanical and electrical activities carried out by the client’s BOP contractor and Nordex contractors. • Document and report any quality or schedule deviations observed during WTG/WF installation, completion, and commissioning activities using the UPVISE system. • Ensure all mechanical work is performed according to installation instructions and tool maintenance requirements, reporting any deviations. • Supervise the receipt, use, and return of Nordex tools, ensuring they are used properly and kept ready throughout the project. • Conduct various inspections and quality checks such as incoming goods inspections, quality gate checks, and customer walk-throughs to ensure compliance with project standards and specifications. • Assist in managing the documentation required for handover to the client and the BOP contractor. • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with the client’s BOP contractor to facilitate successful project execution. • Actively manage UPVISE daily progress reports, providing live updates on supervised activities. • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

🎯 Requirements

• Associate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience accepted. • Experience in quality management and control processes. • Wind turbine assembly experience preferred. • Minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience in mechanical, electrical, or construction fields. • Required experience with on-site WTG assembly. • Excellent technical knowledge, communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with customers and subcontractors. • Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite required. • Fluency in French is highly preferred for work in Quebec. • Must be eligible to work in Canada without company sponsorship and able to obtain a U.S. passport. • Ability to meet the 120 kg (265 lb) weight requirement or less to safely use climbing equipment and fall-arrest gear.
