• Own the creation and implementation of governance rules, standards, and processes to ensure data quality, accessibility, and compliance across systems. • Lead targeted workshops with cross-functional teams to align on definitions of key entities such as Customer and Account, and to identify domain-level hierarchical relationships and downstream system dependencies. • Define metadata requirements and lead the creation of a centralized data dictionary. Align business and IT teams to populate and maintain key fields for high-priority domains (Customer, Account, Product, Financial). • Establish and document naming conventions, data classifications, update frequency guidelines, and stewardship responsibilities. • Engage data owners, business SMEs, and IT architects to capture, refine, and validate metadata and domain-specific definitions. • Support the federated data model blueprint by ensuring consistent and governed data definitions that can scale across distributed systems. • Participate in final presentations, roadmap definition sessions, and documentation hand-offs to ensure long-term sustainability of governance processes.
• Proven experience in data governance, data stewardship, or data management roles • Hands-on experience defining metadata models, domain ownership, and data governance RACI structures • Strong facilitation and communication skills to lead stakeholder workshops and resolve definitional conflicts • Familiarity with federated or distributed data architectures, including conceptual data modeling • Ability to document and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail and documentation quality
