• Assist in planning, developing, implementing, and directing a strategic public relations program • Raise awareness of Operation Homefront as a leading national military and veteran charity • Produce measurable impact and results in positive brand awareness, image and reputation • Execute tactics to support strategic PR plans, marketing campaigns, donor activations and events • Own responsibility for year-round regional media outreach, reporting and staff media training • Execute PR plans that detail strategy, tactics, messaging, channels, outcomes and measurements • Help develop and leverage an editorial calendar to support full mission content • Generate reports and analyze data to measure and share results
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, Journalism, Public Relations or related field • 5-7 years of progressive experience in media relations and strategic communications • Experience with Cision and Monday.com preferred • Microsoft Office 365 • Valid Driver’s License • MVR – Motor Vehicle Report (annual) • Criminal background check
• General office and sedentary • Use of personal computing equipment • Telephone, multi-functioning printer and calculator • Manual dexterity • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds • Ability to drive a motor vehicle and travel to and from meetings, training sessions or other business-related events as needed • May be required to work after hours to include weekends and holidays
