📋 Description

• Acquire, maintain and utilise up to date knowledge of the company’s products from raw material to selling price • Acquire, maintain and utilise up to date knowledge of all relevant Australian Standards (e.g. AS/NZS1891, AS/NZS1657, AS/NZS5532, AS/NZS4488) • Liaise effectively with colleagues, management, clients and sub-contractors to discuss and resolve project issues • Prepare quote estimates based on preliminary drawings • Prepare height safety design layouts compliant to Australian Standards, Building Codes and other legislation • Perform quantity take-offs from drawings and prepare preliminary project estimates • Review and analyse tender specifications, drawings and special conditions • Prepare accurate cost estimates and sales submissions, including tender estimate summary sheets • Investigate and prepare alternative proposals and tender cost submissions as required • Participate in post contract reviews and update estimate procedures and pricing structures • Maintain complete and accurate records and adhere to company OH&S procedures • Perform other duties consistent with the employee’s skill and competence

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in Height Safety / Roof Safety System Design • Experience with Rope Access Systems • Designers with CAD & Bluebeam experience • Engineers, Drafts people, Estimators (with design experience) • Technical or tertiary qualifications • Strong literacy and numeracy skills • Effective written and oral presentation skills • Effective computer skills required to complete the requirements of the role • Good telephone manner and communication skills • Effective time management • Ability to read and understand architectural drawings and specifications • Ability to develop correct and compliant height safety system designs and quotations • Ability to work with clients to understand desired outcomes • Sound knowledge of CAD and Bluebeam Software
