• Architect, build, and own Overflow's core data infrastructure, including pipelines, warehouses, data models, and orchestration • Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT pipelines across Overflow's platform and business functions • Build and maintain a unified data layer integrating Engineering, Product, Finance, Revenue, Success, and Operations data • Design intuitive data models for self-service analytics and OLAP views in customer-facing applications • Build and maintain dashboards and reporting infrastructure for key business metrics • Partner with the Head of AI on storage schemas and organization strategies for semi-structured and unstructured data • Support advanced MLOps, RAG pipelines, and agent memory through clean data structures • Implement Databricks Unity Catalog for data governance, documentation, access controls, and role-based visibility • Implement data quality monitoring, alerting, and validation frameworks • Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Finance, Payment Ops, Support, and RevOps • Educate teams on data best practices and help them ask better questions of the data • Surface data-driven insights about customer behavior, platform performance, and market opportunity
• 5+ years of Data Engineering experience • Experience acting as the first or lead Data Engineer at a fast-growing tech, fintech, or SaaS company • Proven ability to design efficient OLAP schemas for complex financial transactions and business metrics • Strong proficiency with AWS data services • Experience building reliable Change Data Capture pipelines • Strong familiarity with NoSQL databases • Deep understanding of relational SQL databases • Ability to translate complex business requirements from Finance and Sales into technical data models • Ability to collaborate with MLOps, Business Operations, and Software Engineering teams • Hands-on Databricks experience, including Unity Catalog, Delta Lake, and native Databricks SQL/BI tools preferred • Understanding of fintech, transactional data, ledgering, reconciliation, and SOC 2 aligned environments preferred • Previous experience as a founding data engineer or early data team member at a high-growth startup preferred • Must not require visa sponsorship to work in the United States
