📋 Description

• Prepare the monthly group consolidation • Raise consolidation journals and review consolidated numbers for accurate reporting • Progressively lead the close process and ensure adherence to the month-end timetable • Provide technical accounting support across the finance function using IFRS knowledge and research skills • Prepare notes and supporting information for the group annual report • Provide clear and timely information to auditors • Engage with audit testing and provide complete responses to minimise follow-up questions • Learn and become a lead user of Oracle Financial Consolidation and Close, PeopleSoft Financials, IRIS Accounts Production and MI systems • Support other finance teams in using finance systems effectively • Own a number of UK and overseas corporate companies • Approve month-end journals • Oversee financial statements for UK companies • Liaise with overseas advisors on overseas financial statements • Influence professional advisors to provide high-quality financial statements and meet local statutory reporting deadlines

🎯 Requirements

• Qualified accountant – ACA / CA / ACCA • Excellent technical accounting skills, including strong current IFRS knowledge and research skills • Good understanding of multinational consolidation • Able to rapidly build understanding of finance systems • Commitment to excellent financial control • Experience of audit – either as an auditor or as a key audit contact • A proactive, highly organised self-starter with the ability to prioritise and deliver to strict deadlines • Tenacious with great attention to detail • Strong communication skills • Flexible, collaborative and open approach • Sole British national • British citizen or resident in the UK for the past 5 years to meet security-clearance residency requirements • All PA people are required to undergo background checks and achieve the Baseline Personnel Security Standard • Some UK roles may require higher levels of National Security Vetting
