📋 Description

• Manage and coordinate end-to-end monthly payroll across all legal entities (DE, UK, US, FR) and Employer of Record arrangements • Partner with external payroll providers • Prepare, validate, and review payroll inputs and outputs • Resolve payroll discrepancies • Reconcile payroll data and oversee statutory deductions and filings • Liaise between Finance and People teams on payroll matters • Review and validate monthly payroll journal entries • Ensure accurate cost center allocations and treatment of employer-related payroll expenses • Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations of payroll-related accounts during month-end close • Maintain accurate records, audit trails, and supporting documentation for audit readiness • Respond to employee payroll queries clearly, empathetically, and promptly • Ensure compliance with payroll regulations across jurisdictions • Drive continuous process improvements

🎯 Requirements

• Experienced Payroll Specialist • Part-time availability of 3 days per week or flexible hourly equivalent • Solid experience running payroll across Germany and at least one other jurisdiction, UK or US • Ability to manage multiple jurisdictions independently and concurrently • Strong understanding of statutory payroll requirements, including taxes, pensions, and filings • Experience collaborating with external payroll providers • Excellent written and spoken German and English required • French language skills are a plus • High accuracy, attention to detail, and discretion with sensitive data • Ability to work independently across multiple payroll cycles and proactively surface issues • Confidence collaborating cross-functionally and holding external providers accountable • HRIS or EoR platform experience is a plus, such as Papaya Global, Justworks, or HiBob • Familiarity with DATEV or equivalent payroll tools is helpful, but not required
