📋 Description

• Work on HPE NonStop™ systems as a Developer, designing and developing new functionality for the ETI-NET product set using C, TAL and COBOL. • Maintain existing codebase and provide product support. • Develop unit and integration test specifications and perform software testing to ensure software is fit for purpose. • Document software product features and provide information to technical authors for inclusion in manuals and online help. • Attend meetings to represent the company and discuss detailed design and technical issues. • Estimate work effort for project sub-plans or small projects and contribute to successful project completion. • Collaborate effectively within a team and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.

🎯 Requirements

• Development experience on HPE NonStop™ mainframes. • Development of unit and integration test specifications to ensure that software items are thoroughly tested. • Software testing to ensure software is fit for purpose. • Documentation of software product features; provide technical authors with information for inclusion in software manuals and online help. • Ability to work effectively in a team environment. • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills to technical and non-technical audiences. • Aptitude and communication skills to attend meetings to represent the company, e.g., to discuss the detailed design and other technical issues. • Excellent analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, team and time management skills. • Ability to estimate work effort for project sub-plans or small projects and ensure the project is successfully completed. • Positive outlook, strong work ethic, and responsiveness to internal and external clients and contacts. • Experience or knowledge of: TAL, pTAL, COBOL85, SCOBOL, TACL, C/C++. • Experience or knowledge of: Guardian, OSS, EMS, DDL, Escribe, FUP, TS/MP (Pathway), Inspect, TMF. • Experience of IBM mainframe systems would be beneficial.
